General
Is my donation tax-deductible?
Yes, private donations are tax-deductible from €40 if you are taxable in Belgium.
I would like to volunteer, but I don't want to have a fixed schedule.
No problem. You give what you can—an afternoon a month, a day a year, or per event. Volunteering should remain a pleasure for everyone, so we always adapt to your preferences

Project
How long does it take to complete a project?
It all depends on the state of your project and the funding. The project can take anywhere from 3 months to a year to complete.
Is it possible to have a list of the available materials?
It is not. As HWB operates through donations, we do not have a fixed list of available materials. It all dependents on what we receive. However, we always select the materials that are most suitable for your project.
Can I attend the loading of the materials?
Yes. However you must stay within the safety zone defined by the HWB team.
A maximum of 2 people.
Can I reserve materials?
Yes. We can reserve materials for your project if, and only if, it is already well advanced and has been approved by our BTM unit. However, we reserve these materials for a maximum of 3 months.
What is the participation fee amount?
HWB requests a contribution of 1950 euros for a 60m³ container. If you take less material, the fees are calculated based on the volume and type of material selected.
Is it possible to come and choose my materials?
It is not. The donated materials are selected by our volunteer doctors based on the project. However, we always provide high-quality materials.
I have materials that I would like to add to the container, is that possible?
Yes, you can add materials you’ve received or purchased elsewhere to the container. These items must be delivered, at your expense, no later than the day before loading. However, we cannot store your personal materials in our warehouses for more than one month.
I don't know any transporters for the container; can you provide any recommendations?
Yes. We have a non-exhaustive list of transporters we work with. Feel free to ask us for it.
