The association Care4U has been working for several years to improve access to healthcare for everyone in the city of Bafoussam, in central Cameroon. However, their home healthcare service had its limits, and the mortality rate in the surrounding hospitals remains very high in the city. For these reasons, the organization decided to purchase a small healthcare facility.

To support Care4U in assisting the local population, HWF donated the necessary equipment to launch their training service, diagnostic consultation service, minor surgery unit, and inpatient care service.

Our humanitarian shipment enabled the center to offer 12 inpatient beds for patients, set up a conference and training room for medical staff, open a physiotherapy practice, and provide the equipment needed for minor surgical procedures. It was important to us to support this organization, which never hesitates to help those in need—often free of charge. This is a meaningful step forward for better care of the sick and injured in the city and its surrounding areas.” – Chloé Collignon, Project Manager at HWF
