Support for Four Rural Health Centers (Cameroon)

In April 2025, the Association belge des infirmiers camerounais approached Hospital Without Frontiers with an ambitious project: to equip four health centres in Cameroon with basic medical equipment.

Three of these facilities are small dispensaries in remote villages, where access to healthcare remains especially limited. The fourth is the geriatric department of Yaoundé General Hospital. Although this is a more developed facility, the resources allocated to that department are still very scarce.

After several months of preparation and equipment collection, our team finally loaded the shipment on 23 February 2026.

This equipment will make it possible to:

  • create additional inpatient beds
  • strengthen consultation and diagnostic services
  • provide dignified care to everyone who needs it, whatever their age
  • carry out minor surgical procedures

Thanks to this support, these health facilities will be able to improve the quality of the care they provide to local populations and respond more effectively to their communities’ medical needs.
